The Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (Singapore) is a professional non-profit organization formed in 1990 to promote the discipline of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Singapore. (link to history) It does so by organizing professional continuing education for OMS surgeons in Singapore. The association forms guidelines and benchmarks for minimal standards of practice for OMS surgery in Singapore. As of September 2005, the association has been accredited as a "Continuing Professional Education Provider" by the Singapore Dental Council. The AOMSS will strive to provide an added avenue for fulfillment of the educational requirements of OMS surgeons as well as other dental professionals in Singapore.
