Membership Criteria

Membership of the Association shall be one of three categories: Ordinary Membership, Associate Membership, or Honorary Member.

Eligibility for membership:

Associate Membership shall be open to dentists and doctors, registered under the Dentist's Act (Cap76) or the Medical Registration Act (Cap174), who donot hold a qualification in, or related to, the specialty of oral & maxillofacial surgery. Each applicant shall be proposed and seconded by two ordinary members of no less than a year's standing. The application should be sent to the Honorary Secretary at least one month before the Annual General Meeting. An application for Associate Membership shall be decided by the Executive Committee.

Ordinary Membership shall be open to dentists and doctors, registered under the Dentist's Registration Act (Cap76) or the Medical Registration Act (Cap174), who hold an additional qualification in, or related to, the special ty of oral & maxillofacial surgery. Each applicant shall be proposed and seconded by two ordinary members of not less than a year's standing. The application shall be sent to the Honorary Secretary at least one month before the Annual General Meeting. A application for Ordinary Membership shall be decided by the Executive Committee.

Honorary Members may be appointed by the Executive Committee from men and women of distinction, including laymen, who have made outstanding contributions to the progress of oral & maxillofacial surgery both in Singapore and abroad.
